I recently came across the 2006 edition of Richard Feynman's wonderful book “QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter,” published by Princeton University Press. Its full title is QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter. QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter page 10. I managed to get a copy of Feynman's very readable little book, based on a series of lectures for a general audience “QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter” in which he addresses this very problem.
